@icef1sh see right in the center there is a black line, there must be a circular piece on the back of the external gear right in the center that follows that black bar and locks it in place.

obvious problem is, without your hand, how do you force the internal gear against the external? theres nothing stopping them from coming apart

Ha ha ha ha .... shimano boss wil soil his pants when he see this masterpiece.Why anyone wants to pedal on his bicycle when he can push-pull this single gear 30lb transmision.
