  • and beethoven was almost completely deaf when he wrote all this..

i mean, can u imagine that? there are over 200 people in this orchestra, the length of the symphony is around 90 minutes, and he wrote that all alone...

    greatest composer of all times....!!

  • Beethoven's tempi have always been the subject of debate, since metronomic markings were not in use at the time, giving a performer reasonable license to decide what a given tempo should be. It's commendable that this student orchestra and chorus are not from a name school of music such as Julliard, Curtis, Eastman etc. The ensemble from this state university deserve credit for their effort, which although hardly professional, more than adequately convey the spirit and intent of the composer.

  • ابو جوكم بالله ذا طربكم يالامريكان القدم ؟

  • @Deism4life It's actually around 60-70 minutes and the orchestras in his time were much smaller than this one. Regardless, he is truly fantsatic.

  • @jani14jani I believe that you may really have understanding on classical period composers, like Bethoven. The attack is not personal. I am trying to pass the point that you must not judge that which you dont understand.

  • @jani14jani I believe that your conception for Chopin's music is really immature. By plainly characterizing his music too sweat, you expose the fact that you either have not listened at his works, except maybe some famous compositions or that you musical understanding is limited.( I really believe the first scenario). The point that I am trying to make here, and this is not personal, is that all over youtube we see people speaking and criticizing without having a fucking clue.

  • @dim19f His music sounds too sugar grouted , too sweat. Beethoven has covered the every facet of the human psyche with out sounding too sugar grouted or sweat. I didn't mean that Chopin is a bad composer, what i simply just meant that he cant be even compared to Beethoven..

  • @jani14jani I would like you to justify this opinion of yours. I am not in an aggressive mood. I just would like to know what exactly about Chopin made you believe what you believe about him.

  • @siLveR and Jani... Inside the musical phrasing of Chopin's compositions one can find enormous amount of beauty. This beauty is of such a pure value, that it has become objective(among mentally healthy humans at least). Whether, this beauty comes to the surface through complex compositions or not is irrelevant for the music. But since you brought it up, Chopin has written many things that are far from simple, the ballades, some late polonaises and many other works.

  • My choir gets to do this next semester...boy, are we in for a workload.

  • @jani14jani Sometimes simple is better. :) Some people over complicate music and make it a chore to listen to. For me, I just like to listen to it. If it sounds good, I like it. Chopin is peaceful, simple, and easy. It doesn't have to be convoluted with millions of scales and whatnot to be good. :)
