Ahhh.....memory burn!
What is it about this movie that still enthralls? Yep, its all those bad things people say about it....but it also has enough good points & pointers to keep it alive in one's memory. It's got that visual style. Sexy time like never done before or since- and inspired many to try out. It's gloriously vapid & vaccuous, like a lot of messed up relationships. All the music in it holds up. Oh, I could go on but I'll just quit while I'm ahead & go listen to the song again.

Como pasa el tiempo para unos, quizas los castiga, como se lo ve a Mickey Rourke ahora... excesos, vida alocada, etc. no siempre es asi pues algunos artistas se mantienen a pesar del paso del tiempo. Despu[es de todo el fue un icono sexual de los 80 y en conclusion es mejor que asi sea recordado. Buen contenido, buena actuaci[on en general. ya no se hacen peliculas asi. No se disgusten es mi punto de vista.

The way he looks at her when he is under the umbrella...I have to change clothes after I see it. This movie was BRILLIANT and Adrian Lyne is a genius. Mickey Rourke should have received an Oscar nomination. NOT for being hot (which he was) but for his portrayal of this mysterious man who changed this woman's life forever. It was daring and brilliant; the use of music; the cinematography. There simply are no words to convey the brilliance of this film. It's also a love letter to NY City
