What Have You Done - Eowyn Tribute

This song is a tribute to Eowyn, with a large oversweeping theme including Aragorn and how he came into her life, and how he will always be a part of it. There is some Eowyn/Aragorn, but not unrealistic amounts, and mostly one-sided (as it actually is).

In actuality, the story is more Faramir/Eowyn. Eowyn thinks Aragorn is the one come to lead her people from ruin.

She takes up arms and fights, but even in the end, they are all hissing "what have you done?" to her, despite her bravery.

Song is "What Have You Done" by Within Temptation. It is the first single off of "The Heart of Everything" their new cd in March 2007.

There was never any "what have you done" in LOTR at all. I was disappointed when the movie depicted her as frightened in the fight with the Ring Wraith. In the book, she willingly--purposefully--sough­t her death in battle, in honor, in glory. No Ring Wraith would scare her.

Gotta love Eowyn. Wished they'd kept the scene of her defending the Glittering Caves in Two Towers. All I've seen is a close-up still of her with her bloodied sword.

on the contrary aliasmajik, everyone lauded her for her bravery, ill-advised though it might have been. At that point no one cared whether you were male or female, so long as you were a good guy.
