yo daddijonez i have an mpc 2000 after i have chopped it in beat detective how to i send the chop to the pads on the mp thanks...

since the mpc2000 doesnt have usb you might have to get the chops to a disk or something like that. do you have a zip drive or what connected to the mp?

yo daddijones, thanks for this video man, I was wondering how you use Beat Detective. I just figured out how to sample from my records into Pro Tools so this helps me out a bit.
I have a question though.
I am using an Axiom 61 Midi controller. And I have the Structure Free sampler(I really want to get Strike though, as it would be better for what I want to do)
Once you chop the sample, and save it to your HDD, is it possible to bring those chops back into PT through your sampler software?

I don't think strike is good for triggering chopped samples...you need to look into battery 3 or kontakt. yeah once you chop them in PT and save em to you Hard drive then then they are free game to any thing that can open a wav file. just save them to a specific folder to make it easy on yourself and go get'em

I'm looking for a way simpler yet, like using the auto pan from ableton. It chopps things through modulation, you have to set it right though but it's 10x more fast you can do it in less than 10 seconds with any material. Not that i didn't liked your tutorial, it's the best one i've come across in my search yet, but i'm just trying to find something quicker and straight.
I mainly wanna chopp synths\pads\leads\guitars\basslines.
If only they implemented a "chop the grid" option in pt 7.4 ahhah

you can chop to the grid!!!! all you gotta do in pro tools is select the region and go to the edit menu and select separate on grid and that's it!!! 5seconds!!! lol
