Awesome songs :D such an amazing live band

@MorioKun1 a lot of pink floyd and pixies in the last album.
but more importantly, cage the elephant influence, not all of it comes from inspiration, they mostly use their own creativity.

I was there...epic

@MorioKun1 For sure. I was talking more about where they stand in the musical scene as a band, not necissarily music alone. People keep talking about how they perform, record, market, and play to a crowd very similarly to the Rolling Stones. Not that they're a rip off or sound exactly the same, just that their status is on par.
But the huge thing with Stones was that they had this 'rivalry' with the Beatles, and people got hella divided because of that. So I'm asking, is that the same today?

@MorioKun1 I'm excited for their new album. Their first was an instant classic; every track was the just oozing with awesome. And their new singles look like they're going in a new direction, without being a crappy follow-up. They still scrap and scrape on their sound, so it looks like a bright future for an amazing band.

@MorioKun1 I dont doubt it at all. But just to see the progression.
I keep hearing these comparisons to CTE and the Rolling Stones; not just in sound, but the influence and the bands standing on music. So if we have to compare, who are the Beatles? Who is going to be the anti-Stones now? Lady Gaga?

@MaxstertheBard211 When I played Cage for my Mom, she said she could definitely hear the Rolling Stones influences, as well as some Beatles, pink floyd and Led Zeppelin.
If you listen their first album while under the name perfect confusion, you can hear some reggae and 70's funk influences.
Like all forms of art, everyone has their influences and creates their own style. That's what makes art so beautiful.

It's the coolest thing, I saw them about a year ago in Cleveland at the house of blues, they barely had that place filled. And to see this, just a year later. Its one of those once in a life things were you can say: I liked them before it was cool.

@bigmac6340 Their still the scappy underdogs man. I wouldn't be surprise if they become one of the next legendary musicians of our era.
