Lecture Series on Digital Voice and Picture Communication by Prof.S. Sengupta, Department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engg ,IIT Kharagpur . For more details on NPTEL visit http://nptel.iitm.ac.in
A mistake has been made by the professor while explaining the number of blocks in the image. If image size is NxN, then he says that the number of blocks is N squared. If that will happen, then effectively there'll be just 1 pixel per block which is not the case. However, what the professor said while giving the example that the number of blocks is N/n is correct, where n is the number of pixels per block
Thank you Prof. Sengupta for your really nice and friendly lectures. Rarely kind looking teacher!!! Very good job. I wish you taught us here in US.....Thanks a lot..!!!
