I agree that what goes on in Iran regarding this topic is evil on a level that is terrifying. However, his conclusion that lgbt americans should be thankful simply not to be killed, which of course they are, misses an important point. Settling for the right to merely exist is a very low bar to set and lgbt men and women globally deserve every legal equality.
