This was great after the point and click. It kind of made the books scenes of the boys scarier though, that really freaked me out the first time I played. I'd get stuck on the stupidest spots because I'd forget to click on doors.
I wished this had more story behind all the things in the rooms, especially Sirrus'. Maybe more of a journal from the even in the later games. And more direct references to the books. Uru most like the books. Played them & own them all, and the books. Where's the movie!
Of all the ages of Myst, this was the most dull. Although it's very tough to decide which is my favorite, I'd have to say Stoneship gets my vote simply because it doesn't have the god forsaken subway puzzle.
Tried and tested with all available compatibility options, but it still crashes/won't start/black screen in Vista. Have you got it working in Vista? If so, explain sir.
part 4 plz

Wow, Myst has such a great atmosphere, the music (for real), the weird animations, the surroundings... HELL YEAH

Yeah, that's what I was wondering.

In vista, I checked all the boxes beneath it and it worked fine. Before that, it messed up a lot.
And I'm sorry, I should have been more clear. I've only tried compatibility mode with the original Myst, not realMyst.

Vista has a compatibility mode. Right click the .exe or shortcut, go to properties, compatibility, and choose your version.

You have to find a red button in the tunnels and enter the degree the lighthouse is at on the telescope into the compass
