http://www.sixdaystosaturday.com/special Don't confuse losing your job with a death sentence. You may find yourself in a unique position but now is not the time to go into hiding.
On the contrary, it's time to rediscover that person you were a long time ago.
You only lost a job.
You never lost your dream.
Sam, Thought I'm the only person who would have smiled after listening to my manager's words "we have no other option, but to ask you to resign", I was working for one of the worlds biggest companies as a Marketing Officer for past 5 years... having all the responsibilities, being the only son to support my family... getting married in next few months... I was all cool and the only thing I said was "such is life, and then we die" . somehow now I realized that I was not doing what I am born for.

It is a sad there are so many motivational slime balls out there, the commercial ones I mean they are sickenning. I won't mention names. This young man however has made the absolute perfect point for all Americans to remember right now. We are in a harshly competitive system like it or not. You can become cannon fodder in the rat battle or you can focus in on millions of years of biological collective consciousness that is every one of us. By virtue of your birth, you are a winner.

My fiance lost her job yesterday as a bank manager for the past 20 years. She has been crying consistently. I shared with her the time is now to celebrate the start of a new beginning. Last night we celebrated and partied until 3AM. I am also a bank manager and I told her that she is truly the lucky one! She always wanted to open a Thrift store. We have enough money to do it so i told her that with her manager experience, she has all that is needed to make it happen!

Lost my job today, I'm training to be a hairdresser. Got to work, we were all told the shop is closing, because we're in debt, and that was it, no warning...... I'm completely lost.

Sam and EDIS friends: I have worked at jobs for 30 years. I worked my way through college (the 5-year program) and then went to law school at night (another 4 years. Then I was a slave for 3 different law firms and had no life. Then, the wake-up call: cancer! I miraculously recovered (cancer-free for the past 4 years) and now I am losing my high-paying law firm job! I am so glad that I found you. I am getting inspired to find my passion. Thank you for your important message.

Sam, I worked hard to get myself through college & grad school without any help. I found my passion, it was to be a school counselor. Unfortunately, its been 2 years now & I still have not been able to get a counseling job. For the past two years, I am done another position within a school that did not pay well. At the end of the year, I was cut because of a financial deficit. I already found my passion, but I can't find the job..& now I am looking for just about anything. Any suggestions?
