  • PAUL BLAKE is the creator of this layout and train. He's an old friend of mine and a talented fella. I can never figure out how he finds the time to do this stuff!

  • @coaldusty and this layout is nothing compared to the one he's working on now. Yes, quite amazing.

  • it looks like hobby shop in the background & if is where is it

  • @bmxmgptrain007 It is indeed a hobby shop. I must've forgotten to add the web address to this vid. :)

It's Hobbies Plus in Stratford (so far, the only shop in Australia selling T gauge). The layout was brought in one evening for photos and this video to be taken. It's not my layout, and it isn't normally found in the shop.

  • Lovely work - I'm very impressed with the super realistic GIANT HAND at the end of the vid!

  • @fritzski22 Many years of development have gone into getting that hand to look so realistic. :)

  • Heythere!! Indeed this little layout was more of a novelty than anything else.. Orbost on the other hand is quiet the opposite!! I am around half way through building it at this stage, with the biggest parts yet to be built, the main bridge & station yard amongst super detailing of the lot. Progress can be seen at Victorian T Gauge blogspot. It is hard to find the time!!, with all the other projects also on the go!.. I am curious who coaldusty is now.. & thanks for he kind remarks.. ; )

  • Nowa Nowa rules! Impressive video of an impressive little layout and train. Keep up the great work.

The motor is 4mm diameter. The same motor that makes your cell phone vibrate. The control is with an after market pulse width controller. It gives much better slow speed control than the factory supplied one. I clock the the train at about 25..30mph (40..50 kmph) on the slower run bys.

  • @frogboi666 Similar to the motors used in mobile phones actually (for vibrate). If there weren't millions of them being made, T gauge would either not exist or be a lot more expensive.

  • Ive seen pictures of this layout and was impressed but even more so now ive seen it running.. and impressed by the slow speed, the motor must be the size of a bees dick .
