@basisti94 Agreed. They also specifically chose a French composer in order to fit the European feel of the story better, since it's based on a British novel.

Hisaishi has worked only on movies directed by Hayao Miyazaki, Arrietty wasn't directed by him. Joe Hisaishi is ofcourse brilliant but i gotta admit that Cecile's Arrietty soundtrack is a refreshing change

This and Totoro have a simple storyline yet it just leaves you breathless. May fictional, but who knows, maybe there are Borrowers ;)
