"I Am Not a Nugget," has been getting people all over the country excited! Just check out our video below if you don't believe me! Bands and concertgoers couldn't wait to sign our petition at Warped Tour, at the Rise Against/Silverstein tour, at Sounds of the Underground, and everywhere else we managed to get to this summer.
With this campaign, all we're asking is that the government include chickens in the Humane Slaughter Act. This isn't rocket science—we're just asking that chickens be given the same protection that cows, pigs, and other animals receive so that the worst abuses of chickens, including having their throats slit while they're conscious and able to feel pain, will be ended. Now, is that really so much to ask?
Join members of Boys Like Girls, Chiodos, Silverstein, Rise Against, Mustard Plug, Scenes From a Movie, Bandcamp, The Dollyrots, and Maylen as well as our good friend Dave Melillo—along with many, many others—by adding your name to the list of people who care about these intelligent animals. Did you know that chickens are as smart as cats and dogs, that they're capable of recognizing one another by their facial expressions, and that they form their own unique way of communicating? Chickens slaughtered for food desperately need our help, so take the first step in helping them by signing the petition below.
If you need a bit more inspiration, well then you're in bloody luck! Watch the little video we put together starring some of our favorites, and yours, like Andy from Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship's Gabe, Dan from Madina Lake, Zach from All Time Low, and many others who are declaring that they are indeed NOT nuggets! Then sign the petition, because damn it, you're not a nugget either!

  • Of course they are not nuggets they are not chickens. Who cares about eating chickens they are stupid and for the most part mindless.

  • who are the guys @30

  • I'm not a nugget :)

  • Given the Chance I would gladly treat every single one of you like a nugget if I could... we ar all dirty dirty animals... And many Animals eat other animals... MMM Nuggets

  • ew thats so gross the soy chicken nuggets have egg and milk so killing chickens is bad but eating soy nuggest thats promoting crulity to chickens and cows is ok? that makes no sense

  • It's Civet :D

    A pretty cool band ^_^

  • Me too

  • So in the end you get people wanting to pass laws, because it makes themselves feel better. That's not a bad thing, in fact I would applaud individualism normally. It's that they would sacrifice others for their sake, true greed is not individualism, true greed is expecting others to sacrifice for their too, by means of false guilt or other methods. As a famous author said, I recognize that this holds true only in a society of cannibals.

  • Ran out of room there, I also find it ironic that you mention that if I disagree I should do whatever the fuck I want, because that's what I did =P. What they have the right to give a message, yet I don't have the same right to voice my opinion? Also I never mentioned chicken nuggets were a luxury item, I was saying that by complicating their production, you make them more expensive, and thus help limit the food choices of the poor. Hence the ignorance to the consequences mentioned above.

  • It's not the message or the fact that people have opinions different than mine, I appreciate that, the world would be quite a boring place if people weren't innately different. It's the idea of false guilt to motivate people to join a "righteous cause", and the blatant ignorance to consequences of the policies of some of the "selfless" organizations. It's sad in the world when the methods of decision are no longer logic and reason, but greedy "selflessness" and false guilt.
