I finish my plates too but I dont think I can break from it I was raised for a good bit as a kid by my grandmother who lived through the depression and she always would tell me stories about starving all the time and it all made me to where I have to finish it.I do however try and not go for seconds unless im at the buffet.

That's one thing I never let my parents do, affect the way I raised my kids. I hated having to finish my plate. I hated having to eat things I didn't like. All the things I hated I fixed with my kids. Best I could do.

@MonicaTheMad Learning from your parents mistakes. ;) I'd like to think we all try to do that rather than repeating the same cycle.
Did ya ever say something to your kids though and realise you sounded just like your mom or dad? I do that once in awhile. Always catches me off guard.

Cool that you have lost a couple of pounds, slow but steady you'll get there.

@Arthur40TwoDent It's so frustrating that I have sooo much to lose. It's a long road when you're obese. Patience is the key. x
