The poetic hymn Come Down O Love Divine, in a folk style set to the melody Trentham - perhaps known with the hymn Breathe On Me Breath Of God. The words and tune here do not properly fit together! It breaks up the lines in a bizarre way. But this can encourage new insight on the familiar, and emphasises the already mystical nature of the phrases.

Words translated 19th century by Richard F Littledale, from 15th century Bianco da Siena.

During a 24 hour power cut as a result of the heavy snowfall, 18th December 2009, I had nothing better to do than set out on a pilgrimage to our local ruined church of All Saints, camera and tripod in hand...
