  • Guruji was using his laser beam vision to see who needs what, saying things like: "why", "you take it up", or if you were not quite with it he might say, "no, no, no, you've lost you're practice", "take here" or "you try".

This was a hot day of "Advanced A" in North County!

    Still practicing...Clifford

  • Thanks for your comment Clifford!

  • Does anyone know which series is being practiced here?

  • Some Advanced A and some Advanced B, not in the order they are taught presently.

  • Richard Freeman - the guy doing the final beautiful cobra - is a widely-respected yoga teacher, with several published books and DVDs.

  • Richard Freeman is not in this video.

  • Wow! One Day I shall get here...

  • OMG! Awesome!

  • This was filmed at the Dojo of the Four Winds in Encinitas, right?

  • I have the full VHS (2) of this session. It's absolutely incredible. You are just seeing a small portion of it. There may be better things, but for me it's not just about the poses, it's about the tradition and philosophy. As for adjustments they are voluntary. No good yoga teacher does it without permission. Fabulous stuff this.

  • still remain comment please review.

  • I did Ashtanga for 2 years with several different teachers. It was a great work out and very gymnastic which I enjoyed. I discovered a lot practicing with some wonderful ashtanga teachers. However there are better things out there. A bit like saying a potato is the nicest food to eat and then we discover a juicy tasty mango.

  • try to join real ashtanga class first, then you will change your mind.

  • may be you don't pratice ashtanga.
