Looking at the evidence, I can't see how anybody thinks this was a clean play. There's no explanation for that leg motion other than its being a kick to the Achilles tendon.

Im tired of hearing that the spurs are dirty. If they were they would get called on more of these "dirty" fouls. In this case he wasn't even looking at Stoudamire's foot. If anything, the spurs get screwed on a lot of calls.

Remember the incident of Tim Duncan being challenged to a fight by a ref? that shit was ridiculous.

This whole thing started when suns fans became bitter when the spurs beat in the playoffs a couple years ago. It's time to get over it already

dude.. spurs arent dirty.. i'm one of the few that love timmy and at least appreciate the spurs for their consistency and greatness over years but PLEASE dont deny that bruce bowen wasnt one of the dirtiest bastards in the game all the shit he did (karate kick, kicking chris paul, kneeing nash in the nuts, kicking amare) was all calculated and purposefully dirty

Bruce Bowen plays solid D, and thats about all he does. If any officials or other players actually thought that he was dirty they would watch him closer and call him on his "dirty" plays.

If you think about it, it's pretty impossible to play dirty, at least on a regular basis. A Refs sole purpose is to make sure that a game is played fair. and there are three on the floor. So if three refs don't see anything dirty from three different angles, it safe to say that a play wasn't dirty.
