Set to arrive in 2010, BMW and Fiat have teamed up to produce a small micro car capable of over 100 MPG with very low emissions. The new Isetta by BMW and the Topolino from Fiat are set to arrive in 2010 and thanks to fiat will be fitted with a 0.9 litre, 2 cylinder engine with 60 BHP. A turbocharged version is also likely to be available for improved performance with 105 BHP. The revolutionary new engine uses the latest technology to provide good performance and exceptional fuel economy and it is rumored that this engine will also be available in the New Fiat 500 very soon and possibly the Panda where it was first introduced at the motor show in the Panda Aria. Music, don't fear the reaper by the blue oyster cult. Please rate and comment, thanks for watching.

  • Let me correct some things. Fiat´s levels of co2are 127,8 grams besides this new engine is capable of emitting 90 grams. divide this to 23.9that equals to 3.76l/km about more than 60 mpg. If you want to calculate a diesel the number your looking is 26 something i can´t remember.now. This number is higher because diesel engines pollute more in comparison to gasoline ones. Now im waiting for this engine in the 500 or for a new abarth 500. which one is better?

  • Abarth is better is so many ways, i have one! But i am actually looking forward to the 2 cylinder engine, want to know how fast/economical it really is!

  • I'm a mexican but I live in the USA,and I observed here that that the USA government makes every effort to don't let that cheap and ecological technology reach the public, and the american public knows about it..but they don't do any thing to change this situation(I believe they are afraid of their own government).

I believed the USA government is bought by the big oil companies.

  • Yes you are correct, this technology has excited since cars were first introduced but were scrapped and forgotten about on purpose so the oil companies could make their profits. Rich people and companies are selfish and always put their money first, even if it means sacrificing our environment and taking money from poor people (taxes etc).

Everything in this age is wrong.

  • Im still waiting to see how that teaching in the Beattitudes about the meek inheriting the earth is supposed to work itself out!

One remark about the paradox of conservation, would be that it just makes room for more people and the basic problem isnt fuel or food but basically over-population. So in that sense, being smart about resources in the end is only self defeating because it allows for greater numbers that end up consuming even more...

  • Very true, there are a lot of different ways of looking at things. Governing bodies still use global warming as an excuse to tax people to death in this country, you literally pay more tax the more you pollute but that is unfair. How are their profits going to save our delicate planet? It's basically a scam but we all knew that. Who says reducing our emissions will even make a difference anyway? how can we ever prove this? there are hundreds of unanswered questions...

  • fiat ftw!!!

  • Who needs 105hp in a microcar!. Give me 30bhp and 200mpg and ill be happy

  • Roger that, Europe already has cars that do between 60 and 100 MPG, i get 74 MPG in my car (see my other vids). America is criticized for emissions and oil/fuel consumption etc but it's not the people's fault, it's the governments fault. They put their profits before the environment, as a result we have a very unstable climate now. Look at new Orleans now for example. Some people still believe global warming is a theory. So 6,000,000,000 tons of carbon dioxide a year from USA is harmless is it?

  • yes, the carter administration had projects with full sized autos getting 70 plus mpg! Id like to see the homebuilt/kit car guys fill the gaps with imported engines using the three wheel motorcycle category which avoids all the stringent standards for autos. Little Kubota engines would be perfect, or similar.

A new administration representing our interests will help a ton! "Nationalize Government" I say. Thanks.
