  • @WineAndGravy co2 can exist as a gas

  • @wtb0221 becouse CO2 is more solubile than O2,so it needs less preasure gradient

  • Maybe because Pco2 cannot exist as gas in the blood otherwise the pressure would be too great and the body will not accomodate it that is why Pco2 has to be carried by RBC's as converted Protons and Bicarbonates and not gas. And the drop in Po2 to 60 is probably because tissue used up oxygen.

  • Because tissues used more oxygen and produced less CO2.

  • Very much enjoyed the lectures thus far. Curious as to why the gain of Pco2 is only 4 mmHg while the drop in Po2 is 60 mmHg. Why the large difference?
