I was born in my skin somewhere in the south and the damn Yankees have always hated me for that birth which i didn't have anything to do with.

I wanted my two sons to experience the origins of a song. We stopped in Muhlenberg County Kentucky. We went down to the Green River. Where Paradise once was is the Peabody Coal Company, I got a couple of pieces of coal.We went to the Rochester Dam. We also trudged through the woods and found the building that was once the prison below a very high bluff, not far from the river. It was an experience and my sons are also fans of John. On a side note, the Everly Brothers are from this area.

A favorite of mine. I saw a version by Dwight Yoakum that was in a smaller bar type setting and it had really good sound quality. Anybody seen it. Know the link?
