boards.ie makes an appearance on the Capital D programme on RTÉ One, produced by the RTÉ News department.
Quote from the RTÉ website: "A popular Irish website, in existence for more than ten years, has moved from the virtual to the real world - spawning offshoots including a soccer team and a drama group."
@tomskangaroocourt Yes would agree there. End of the day Boards is more likely to ban you if you are a nuisance to them even if you are right.

@overheal1987 @overheal1987 the point being Overheal because of Boards.ie is in unique in that its a discussion board for almost every topic it has a monopoly. And it abuses that position with the overuse of the ban stick. Is there any other site you know of that uses the ban so frequently. Some are justified but in the case of Irish Convert recently it was used to get a mod out of a very sticky situation. Mods when they make statements like Irish convert did should be accountable

@Spiritoftheseventies SOTS you realize its practically, logistically and theoretically impossible to have a Monopoly on Discussion?

Yeah, boards is great for debate as long as it's nothing like the Lisbon Treaty. Oh, incidentally a lot of the moderators have the mentality of 10 year old kids. They spend most of their time trolling and banning anyone who isn't friends with them.
Great work, keep it up!
