Oh cool they use stock footage of the crowd. The same woman adjusting her jacket was in the other met. video.

I adore her voice, i could use a better quality video though.

How old is she when this video was made 17 or 18 years old? She is an impressive mezzo soprano
performer. I wonder what age did started singing? It's great that young people can look for inspiration
like Ms. Costa-Jackson.

@xuanmusic621 She is a native of Italy...
-
the"i"of"ghiaccio" should be silence in Italian. This is the most basic rule of Italian. I think she could not be called a Arrtist yet.

Ginger had just turned 21, and was in her first weeks with the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program at the Met. She is now 23, and about to graduate. Her final Lindemann recital is free, and will take place at the Bruno Walter Auditorium (NY) on Feb. 26, 2010. Google it!

Wow! What a voice! What a performance!

wow! and she's gorgeous too!
I got to hang out with Ginger and accompany her on the piano, she's so nice!!! Her voice in person is so much stronger and beautiful than this video gives it credit!!! Ginger is a very sweet sweet girl!!!

to hear an operatic voice at a distance of eight feet is a blast!

this tempo is wicked fast... maybe a little slower? It feels frantic!

Jimmy accepted her, Pete sent her down, taught by Ruth, Met pianist.

I'm not denying her talent, but this tempo of this particular performance is a little rushed, I feel. Just my opinion.

You have the training, A, but at the end of the song, the tempo slows from its allegro vivace to adagio at 'E se non ho chi m'oda' and quickens again for the end.
