In an attempt to win the Jack & Jill competition with Tropical Gem, a dancer performs an illegal neck drop and mysteriously wins! Nathan was the crowd favorite by far and should have been announced the winner! The rules were stated clearly in the beginning: no tricks, no dips, and 80 % partner work. Nathan followed all the rules with no problem. But, I guess it's true...nice guys ALWAYS finish last.

  • " If he can win third in the world championchips, he should be able to win something as small as this without cheating" To construe something like this as cheating is to take things far too seriously. I doubt the judges will have "marked" him on the neckdrop principly because it was not included in the rules. Such squabling after a competition simply comes off as bad sportsmanship. I'd probably have done the odd dip or trick myself - simply because I like that sort of stuff ;-)

  • Although I must agree with you that Geraldo is an extremely talented dancer, it is still unfair that he won while still using illegal moves. If he can win third in the world championchips, he should be able to win something as small as this without cheating.

  • The name of the winner of this contest #15 Geraldo Jacquet of Argentina. He deserved to win because he was living the music in each song. His style is very clean and precise. Funny thing is that at the 2006 World Championships he placed third after the semi-finals and the commentator was surprised that he hadn't done any neck drops or complicated patterns, but the judges recognized and rewarded his talent.

  • ...the poor guy in the white shirt and white shoes with the tall chick. I would bet a c-note that if my 13 yr. old daughter competed and got him,...they would of beat the both of you'se. LOL

  • ah damn, i watched this cos i thought that one of the dudes did a wrestling move on someone in the middle of the dancefloor

  • The guy with #15, the hat, and the Eagle on his back definitely deserved to win without a doubt. Who cares if he did a neck drop. The guy was hitting every beat. He also had enough style on this video to over shadow Fernando Sosa. That's impressive. Is that Geraldo or Nathan? Would love to see him at the West Coast Congress. His skill compares to anyone. Bravo! TrickMc1

  • you guys are both good. I wish I could dance like that.

  • This is not good becuase it could cause bad things between the both of us! PLEASE understand I don't agree with who posted this video! PLEASE lets put things out there which will help the salsa scene and not hurt it!

  • Hey All This is me nathan and I would like to say I am glad Gerardo Won. And I hope everyone understand I stand by him because he won no mater what some say. And he is my friend and hope people see that I support the real winner Gerardo! I hope this understood! He is a great person and I don't like that this was put out there the way its was.
