I've seen a lot, but this sucker takes the first prize.
He:
1) Buys an empty Mac (like all Macs should be!)...check.
2) Converts it into a PC..check!.
3) Throws the PC into it. Although NOT retaining the only thing Apple is good at (the sleek design) at least it works. Sanity of yours truly is still intact...check!
4) And the OMG after all this hazzle he installs..MacOS??! %¤#%"#/&
Can't compute....logic not present..sanity dysfunctional..beep!

So does your motherboard just fit right in?

@videopigable A standard mATX will technically "fit" into the case.

hey how did you install the cd drive?
kwebber1234 1 year ago
@kwebber1234 The CD that comes with the G5 uses special screw in standoffs to mount the CD Rom into place. I just used the ones that came with it and screwed them into the new drive. Whala!

How to u get the power Mac g5 power supply working for ur atx motherboard??
Minihacker384 1 year ago
@Minihacker384 Didn't. I replaced the guts of the G5 PSU with the guts from a standard PC PSU. To use the G5 power cable that runs power to the HDs and CD you have to modify two four Molex ends into an 8 Pin Molex connector.
