  • Heh actually I am what the state says gifted and I never have to study and have straight A's and 100% on tests... if the test is a minimum of 100 Q's Ill glancce at the paper once and im good... huh

  • Most of what the video said was true, though I'd like to mention a few things of my own. Grades in school. Giftedness referring to IQ, is just the ability to learn. Things such as unique interests or just a side-effect. When I was growing up, my IQ was about (Emphasis on that word) 137, and I was nearly failing all my classes, simply because they were too boring and easy. A few lessons are there. The world isn't made for the gifted, it's easy to mistake the gifted for idiots, et cetera.

  • @LexieDeaves: My students subscribe to a very inclusive definition of giftedness, one that includes athletic and artistic gifts as well as academic gifts. To paraphrase Howard Gardner and his theory of multiple intelligences, in my classroom we do not ask "how smart are you?", we ask "how are you smart?". I hope that you have someone in your life with whom you can have such a conversation to reflect upont the special gifts that you may be capable of bringing to the banquet of life!

  • So true.
