HD DVD won't be dead unless all of them were broken. GameCube isn't broken, the original XBOX isn't broken, the PlayStation (1) isn't broken. A better way to describe this is "no longer made."

@fatsachs i am with you on the VHS thing i have about 1000 VHS movies that probably went to dvd but will never see light of day on bluray movies like gremloids hawk the slayer amongst others i could mention. vhs has been with me for over 20 years dvd for for 10 hd dvd 3 years and i finaly got round to buying a blu ray player last week but i still find myself buying VHS movies

@fatsachs Moreover if you dont know,there was also a format war in the 80s,between JVCs VHS and Sony's betamax, where sony lost the format war and whats its condition now? Hardly anyone of this generation knows about that format,its completely not found anywhere,no one gives a damn shit towards that format.Same will be the case of HD DVD after 10-20 years.DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!

@fatsachs bad example my friend,at the first vhs was at the height of its fame even a few years after the release of DVDs while HD DVD lived only for 3 years and was already slammed when Blu rays began flooding the markets and second,offcourse no one considers vhs as dead,as vhs is still found on some cheap stores,and some ppl even live by vhs cuz of thier low budget but HD DVD? its just dead quite a few of them may still be found on the stores,but they are just leftovers that may soon be dumped

So Blu ray offers me exactly jack shit since a good movie worth owning happens about twice a year maybe nowadays. This is good for me though, cause now I can have all the rare dvd's you blu ray dick riding idiots will be selling so that you can purchase one $30 blu ray movie! Blu Ray doesn't win, I DO!

I love how u people call a format "dead" once it's been outsourced, that's pure ignorance at it's best. Do u think people who have vcr's and VHS they love that never went to dvd consider VHS format "dead"? Think about that for a second before ur ignorance takes over and the point flies right over ur head. Same with DVD's, I know damn good and well they won't be putting my kinds of movies on Blu ray cause I'm a huge 80's horror film fan and most of that stuff was low budget anyway.
