If you've never watched British comedy drama "Doc Martin" you've missed a gem of a show.
These are just a few typical Doc Martin character moments. Nothing fancy. (But I've made a Doc Martin fanvid as well. Not that it's fancy. Just fancier than this. I hope. :) ) Some of the funnier moments have been left out due to the spoilerish content.(Clips from series 1 and 2.)
In the show Martin Clunes plays a surgeon who moves from London to a small village in Cornwall to work as a GP.

I love Martin Clune as Doc Martin. He so full on and doesn't care about his responses. His one liners are priceless and really funny

This is just a general comment. The character is tactless but he cuts to the chase. In a similar way, so is Jonathan Creek. "Now what kind of gibberish is that?"
What I love about both shows is the title characters are uncompromisingly scientific. When a hypothesis isn't working, you go for a different one, as Doc did when he misdiagnosed impetigo.
Wish we in America had the same respect for science and the consequent ability to say: "I was wrong."

I think it's because of his character. He's done it at other times as well, but unfortunately I couldn't remember in which episodes when I put these clips together.

he does it again in s3e2:
when he runs past a man with a walking stick and into Mrs Tischell's chemist.

If I'd remembered the episode I would have included it. I find it very funny that if there's a chance to get first in line, Martin has to get there.
