Talk about memories. I go back about 35 years. Actually nice to see a snapper fishery. Way back it wasn't all that productive. But then the T wasn't fished that way usually. Guess somebody figured something out!

what bait were you using?

Man, out all day and got a cooler with a couple blue runner and grunts, and a small snapper.
After diving that pier several times, you wouldn't catch me dead fishing at it.

so many memories on that pier i love lauderdale

what bait are you using
-
A lot of snappers. I catch those off the little Gotch Lures in the Keys. You can catch a lot of snook now in the Fort Lauderdale inlet, but they are too small to keep.

we got a baby sailfish this morning and thousand snook at the juno pier good day
I Used cut Runners fresh and squid they did well, fresh bait Live or Dead is always best.
My favorite bait is Pilchard live or dead
I am sure there will be some more great days in the near future.
Just wait until the fall run with in 6 weeks or so.
