they also keep hives which may be genetically inferior propped up with chemicals in order to artificially increase the size of their hives to make more money.on their pollination contracts.

that is not necessarily true. just because the virus and fungus have existed basically forever, doesn't mean that they do not become more concentrated in time within man made hives to levels that might no longer be harmless to the bees. beekeepers keep the hive in the same boxes basically forever where in nature they would reproduce via swarming and move someplace clean and new.

I can't post links here, but as I said there is plenty of peer reviewed papers on neonics & their effect on bees.
Migratory beekeeping plays a part, but probably because they are being shipped from one chemical laden mono crop to another, plus the additional stress industrial beekeeping puts upon the bees.
To be organic the bees not only have to be treated organically but have to be kept in areas large enough where no chemicals or fertilizers etc are used.
Their range is up to 2miles so diffic

Good points all over.
There is a lot of peer reviewed data available now that is indicating neonicotinoid insecticides have an influence.
Most of it is European but it's indicating that in colonies where sub lethal concentrations of the chemical are found infections which as you say bees have been living with since before man suddenly become a problem.
As the agrochemical lobby have vast resources this evidence is being deflected but it's out there if you care to look.

@tavascarow So the fact that there is evidence against the pesticide theory is evidence for the pesticide theory? That feels like logical cheating to me.

Do you keep bees? Do you know any beekeepers? Do you have any personal direct experience aside from google & youtube back your cynicism disguised as fashionable skepticism? Is there any place in your paradigm for wisdom gained from personal experience compounded by maturity?

@jochaanen1 I have a degree in biology, that should count for something. I do not keep bees myself, but personal experience is the worst way to figure something out. I do know several bee keepers rather well and I contacted some of them to ask them for resources on the subject before I made this video. There is place in my paradigm for any kind of wisdom that can be tested. If you cannot ever throw it out because of new evidence then I don't ever want to let it in.
