Greenland's ice sheet holds the same volume of water as the Gulf of Mexico. Melting is outpacing snowfall these days. But the rate of change in a warming world is still not clear. Andrew C. Revkin, who has written on climate since 1985, explored the giant island with scientists recently for The New York Times. Read more at http://www.nytimes.com/revkin.
I wonder why its called GREENLAND. Oh I remember its because at one time it was a tropical climant. The Earth goes thur heating periods and cooling periods all on its own [Without mans help] As that area unthaws another part of the world will get colder to make the differnce up. I cant believe you people that buy into man made global warming.

In the 70's it was global cooling, now it's "climate change" because global warming was shown to be a hoax. Man is too insignificant to affect Earth.

Thanks Andy. Always interesting to hear from the scientists in the field - especially in Greenland.
