Thank you, you are a musicologist and you might not even know it, although I bet you do. I got to experience them live in my lifetime and it was cool beyond words.

This band was great! I consider myself fortunate to have been able to see them on stage several times in this lineup. Not to pick nits but I think the bass player is Howard's son Tom and not his brother Roland. IIRC Tom had an old tin bass ... with a gimbled beer (er, cup) holder screwed to the bottom of the neck heel.

I met Howard Armstrong in 1978 at one of these festivals - Remus Michigan. Have an autographed album of the entire band. This guy was one of a kind. I sure appreciate being able to see this, thanks -
