Night Firefight

A 3 hour firefight with Al Qaeda (edited down to 4 minutes). There were 6 enemy ambush positions with anti-aircraft weapons which were modified for direct fire. 10 - 12 enemy dead and no U.S. casualties. 1st Platoon, A trp 1-75 cav, 101st Airborne, 19d Cavalry scouts.

tracer rounds will deffinetly kill you, its just phosporus or magnezium at the back of the bullet. yes they can give away your postion, but its nite time each individual will be moving around(hopefully) and tracers are loaded 1 for every 4-6 rounds so for every tracer theres at least 4 more rounds flying around

planning on heading to ft knox for cav scouts soon. hopefully the army decides that the m4/m16 direct gas system needs to be replaced with the gas piston system, the military needs the best and the gas piston is it. hopefully i'll be able to buy a rifle with the piston system after i go throught all the training and get stationed somewhere.
