Such a sad day, I remember that train like it was yesterday, the log ride, and how I cried after Little Dipper, and puked three times in a day there when I was four. My mom and I had great times, I feel bad for the Chicago generation that doesn't get Kiddieland. I know they preserved the ride at Six Flags, I'm glad, but it's not the same. I clicked like on the video, but I disliked the whole thing.

@biscaynenick never been - my long gone cousins told me they loved sitting up front - on a good day you could feel the slight heat from the fire burning to keep the steam hot - miss the place

I had a seizure on the Scrambler once. And I almost fell out of the Galleon earlier that day. I still have nightmares about that place.

Nice video! Thanks.

I cried throughout that video

I have not been on that train in 25 years! Does anybody else remember the smell ???
This sucks. I've only been to Kiddie Land a few times, of which I only remember the last one with crystal clarity, but even the times that I don't remember so well, I remember having enjoyed. I was hoping to take My daugther there the next time that I visited, and now it's gone. It's sad.

There are rumors that the owner of Grizzly Jack's Grand Bear Resort near Starved Rock has bought old Santa's Village rides. He might be the unnamed investor that is looking to expand his amusement park. It wont be the same, but at least the rides will go on.
