I have decided to upload two shows from my (former) local access show, "My God, It's Full of Stars!", essentially a science fiction talk show, but with a lot of other fun and games as well. The back story on these is that when the Doctor Who 40th anniversary approached (in 2003), I had the bright idea of doing a 40th anniversary special(s), since the BBC weren't doing very much. I edited together various Who interviews and press conferences that we had done and contacted a lady who did her own show and had been cablecast in NYC among other places if I could "piggy-back" these specials on the backs of their shows. But it turns out that she had been stiffed by some convention organizers and had become disenchanted with the whole thing so the idea fell through (I had wised up a long time ago, but that's a story for another occasion). So then I realized that of course YouTube was essentially the next "local/global access" venue and I could post these shows up here where DW fans (and whoever) could enjoy them. The first installment features a rare taped convention appearance of none other than the incomparable Jon Pertwee, as well as an even rarer press conference. Enjoy. :)
