@famezo12FUHQ yea I was thinking of that too but I think they charge a lot for that so was doing some research and found a kit called the Kensington liquidAUX deluxe which comes with a really nice steering wheel remote. you might not even need the headphone amp as it uses the 30pin ipod connector rather than the headphone jack which is known to be quiet. I think I will get it but only problem is the aux connection needs to be routed closer to the 12v socket or there will be a messy wire

@sambam007 hmmm...I'll have to check that out :) THANKS! It is soooo beyond me why they can't just make the iPod controllable through the steering wheel, or have it play through bluetooth..its ridiculous

I hate that the aux is in the glove compartment, got an A-class and want to control my ipod without the glove comparment open all the time. what do you do?

@sambam007 Yea I hate that too. I honestly have to slam the glove compartment closed on the wire haha..its HORRIBLE that we can't control the iPod from the steering wheel. I had a crappy Ford Focus and it had a better system than the Mercedes...I'm thinking of going to a place to see if they can somehow rig the controls to the steering wheel, maybe install a new radio specifically for the ipod...Its just terrible.
