Verizon has the network, but doesnt have the phones

Verizon may be ranked highly in our minds when it comes to network infrastructure, but the company sure doesnt have the high-end hardware when compared to any of the other major carriers, like AT&T (iPhone), Sprint (Palm Pre, Pixi and HTC Hero) and T-Mobile (Android phones). Which is most important for you when choosing a network is it the call quality and reliability, or is it the devices?

We ask CNETs Molly Wood and Interprets Michael Gartenberg their takes. Though Molly absolutely loathes AT&Ts poor Bay Area coverage, a lackluster phone selection shares many of the same issues with poor reception: The phone is unusable. And while wed all love to see AT&T lose its grasp on Apples wunderfone, Michael doesnt see Verizon laying claim to the device this generational life cycle.

Sprint has the best phones (Hero, Pre, Pixi) and it roams on Verizon's network when it needs to at no cost. Why would you not choose Sprint?

the droid is verizons answer to the iphone........y would they get the iphone is they just spend TONs of cash on the droid and the droid x......there no point people just want the iPHONE cause its an IPHONE i just can't get on the band wagon

after being with all the telecom's i am very happy with sprint. i would take them any day over vzw. "its the network" just "isnt worth the money"

They are not getting the Pixi or the Hero, not in January at least.

Those devices will be Sprint exclusive for a while.
