MAZDA SHINARI(靭:しなり)design concept LIVE 30.Aug.2010

2010.8.30 ミラノのVilla San Carlo Borroneoで行われたマツダ・デザインワークショップでお披露目された近未来のデザインコンセプトモデル『靱(しなり)』。

パワートレインは不明だが、FR(フロントエンジン/リアドライブ)が想定されている。従来の自然界の動きをテーマにした『流れ』シリーズの模索から辿り着いたのが、生物­が見せる一瞬の動きの強さや美しさ。

例えば、何かを狙って動き出す一瞬のフォルム--日本古来の武道・剣道の突きの一瞬、チーターが獲物を狙って力を貯め、飛び掛かる一瞬など。その瞬間こそが、もっとも研ぎ­澄まされた力のバランスを持っていて、無駄なく美しい......前田郁夫デザイン本部長率いるマツダデザインが辿り着いた、新しい感覚世界ということだろうか。

デザインテーマは、魂動(こどう)-Soul of Motion。key wordは、speed( 前進感)、tense(緊張感)、alluring(艶やかさ)。それよりも百聞は一見にしかず。答えは姿形、肢体の中にありますね。

@as89189 True....plus most people have no clue what a rotary is. So I'd be so cool to everyone that isn't "in the know" about Mazda. So yeah, I guess that would be cool too.....better than an inline-4!
