Guys, I caught a woolly bear during the fall (now), brought it home and placed leaves, soil, and twigs in the box. Four days later, it wrap itself into a cocoon..for the winter? Is this okay?
I thought woolly bears are supposed to hibernate during the winter and encase itself into a cocoon ONLY when the SPRING comes. Won't it die if the cocoon hatches now and it's not spring yet?

I saw a few at Seneca College King Campus while on a camping trip. I took a few pictures
I was driving yesterday and felt something tickly on my arm!! and it was this thing!!! I had no idea what it was, I flicked it off real quick it almost caused me to have an accident!!!!! I hate bugs and this thing looked so scary up close. I swore up an down one of the guy from the group home I work at threw it at me but they said they didn't lol it wasn't moving maybe it was about to die..I dunno. I just wanted to look it up an see what it was..I thought it was a caterpillar

They can be awfully prickly though

Where do we find them? like i know under grass, rocks and logs but is there any location like a forest or something?

Finding them can be pretty random. I found mine under a tractor at the barn. I also saw one under some leaves and on a rock.
I doubt they'd actually be in under one, though.
I suggest looking around trees (foresty area) and wooded areas. If you have a place that has chopped up wood, that's a good place too but watch out for bees and especially snakes.
The best way to find one is not specifically look for them at all, I've found. They can be pretty common or rare depending on where you live.

I have three cats. The one in the video you see is called "Tipper", my Grandma named him because we originally was going to give him to her but he sheds his hair too much.
He is my favorite cat.
