  • Security fail at 9:11. :p At least the guy just wanted to come up and shake John's hand and pat him on the back. And at least security just kindly escorted him offstage, and didn't feel the need to rough-house him. Different times, indeed. Great concert footage, btw!

  • @datalal624 I first seen this footage about 20 years ago its still great to watch, the guy at the end was kind with John and showed his appreciation. The Fans still do the same with Morrissey see How Soon is Now clip but the security are much more heavier handed these days.

  • @Voxac100b See my reply to @datalal624

  • @datalal624 It is SAD that security is a PAIN - but without it, things like what eventually happened to John will happen. Trouble is - you have half-a-second to try to figure whether someone who rushes the stage is an over-enthusiastic fan who got swept up in the moment - or a homicidal NUT-job. I'd HATE to be a security guy...

  • Wow!!! Thanks for sharing... Was this taken from their Melbourne concert?

  • @jo19jo80 - sorry, my source does not specify!

  • George at 4:58!! Agh!!! So cute!

  • the only group with two soloists!!! Jhon and Paul!!!

  • Considering that I can't hear George even when he's playing a solo, the guitar you hear is John, and it's really cool to hear him isolated and live like this. He meant so much to their rhythm and sound.

  • June 15-17, 1964: The Beatles did two shows each day at Melbourne, Australia’s Festival Hall. It aired there as a special “The Beatles Sing for Shell”. They sang at all performances “I Saw Her Standing There”, “You Can’t Do That”, “All My Loving”, “She Loves You”, “Till There Was You”, “Roll Over Beethoven”, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “This Boy”, and “Long Tall Sally.” “You Can’t Do That” and part of “All My Loving” are on "The Beatles Anthology," Tape # 3.

  • They make me glad I lived in this time.

  • that guy at the end of vid could have killed john but not. Only was made by a sycho after many years in nyc

  • i love George's guitar sound...

  • Good to see policemen doing the crowd control and not goons -they did it well!

  • Ringo didn't play in Adelaide because of illness and rejoined for Melbourne so with Paul saying it was good to have him back suggests it is Melbourne too.
