  • the idle is at 950 rpm i can idle it down to 750 reliably and it lops like all hell but i dont like how much the car shakes with it that low as i have solid motor mounts and it is a daily driver.

  • Stage 4 comp cams? Comp proudly advertises that they don't do generic "stage" cams. So WTF Shit brick.

  • stage is a generic term for the order of a cams size from the smallest to largest this being the largest of the FOUR cams comp sells for a 3 valve there for i simply said stage 4 instead of hey its got xx duration and xx lift..

    it runs 19 pound of boost from a novi 2k and a 75 shot .. and runs 9.98 on the bottle and i have a vid of it here on street fire runnign a 10.6 at 131 on street tires off the bottle.

    cams for 3 valves are very small because of the variable valve timing.

    its 222 intake 239 exhaust 490 lift intake 485 exhaust 116 lobe center.

  • @landoncholly this is in no way shape or form a biased statement because i like atleast one car from each manufacture. Ford is definatley the cheapest of the "big 3" to modify without killing your wallet. 5.0 liter mustang probably the simplest cheapest way to possibly build a go fast car for street/strip, auto x, road coarse, what ever its fucking cheap performance.

  • yea i hadnt so much as drove the blazer home and and it did that. and i drove the shit out of that ford for a few years.

    and all i was getting at with my original comment to lawnmaster111 was that putting a chevy motor in a ford car is wrong in my opinion but it really shouldnt matter to him what i think and it probably doesnt. but hey man ppl are like what they want and do what they want. and that being said more power to 'em. i was adding my two cents. i hust happen to like fords a lot.

  • With the early 80's 2 bolts and late 80's 4 bolts, it's the luck of the draw. Odds are, some dummy tinkered around with it, and attempted to rebuild it in his backyard.

    Your reason for Chevy's being popular is true in that case. You can pick up a running Chevy 350 for sometimes as low as $200.

    Of course that's reasonable for a 302, that's a lot of miles. 302's are known for their reliability. So are 350's, like I said, luck of the draw.

    the reason i dont like chevys is cuz i had an '87 350 4 bolt main with 75,000 miles on it throw 3 rods through the block at idle in my back yard. and an '85 302 that a piston got all melty like and ruined the rings at like 5000rpm when i was wheelin my truck, it had 256,000 miles on it. is that not reasonable?

    I could easily tell you that you're wrong. There were probably at least 25 grammatical errors in that comment. No one could take thet BS seriously. Chevys are so popular CUZ of their huge SB's and the LS1's ability to hit 12's with minor suspension mods and bolt ons.

    With a Mustang, you have to dish out thousands to even manage low 13's. I still like them though, no complaining from me.
