Perpetual. Continuing or enduring forever. Ceaseless and abiding, constant, endless, eternal....Immortal.
The Volturi. Because that is what we are. We are the perpetual leaders of the perpetual race. We live not to rule or govern but to lay out survival guides for our people. So that they can exist in a world that is not their own. And when one or more of our own kind put our progeny at risk we must act to annihilate any evidence that that particular incident had any entity whatsoever. But if it should happen that one of the immortals we seek to eradicate has a talent that could prove crucial in a time of necessity, we spare their spent lives and give them the justifiable propitious task of joining our army of the immortal.

We are not to be bought or won over by unavailing bribery. We bring no hope to people of our immortal kin and no safety either. We bring verity. Truth that in some way we exist for a reason and therefore must protect our race as we are made strong and able-bodied to conserve our being.


So we are the perpetual. We are the ceaseless and the everlasting. We are the immortal. We are vampires.
