De La Hoya did box beautifully but backed up and backpeddled when he was hit with shots from Trinidad. I think that was a big mistake. I'm a big fan of both fighters and was let down by this fight which in my opinion was a draw. What I didn't like about Trinidad in this fight was that he wasn't commiting to his shots. Again; a tremendous letdown by both fighters. Oscar did have a better performance though. There should have been an immediate rematch.

yea he won the fight but the asshole judges perceived trinidad as the agressor in the last three rounds regardless of the fact trinidad didn't land any significant blows

Hey Carlos u have no idea about boxing don't you. The reason why de la Hoya lost the fight was because mostly the whole entire fight he was running too much. Ain't no judge is gonna give u a victory especially running to much In a fight . He felt Trinidad power and got scare. Watch the whole fight before u ever make a comment

If Tito Trinidad had been a Middleweight Fighter and De La Hoya had moved up to fight him, then he would have deserved a lot of credit. But since they were both the same weight, same generation, somebody had to die (Not literary) but I mean it had to give a convincing champion, not just a good boxer, I can take boxing classes from other boxers, but what I saying it should have ended for one of them and who ever had won would have conquered the whole era, not just a stupid title.
