Ok, now that I've heard about this Jeremy person so many times, and that he's Bayesian, I am really intrigued. I wonder if this Jeremy person also has good videos like these.

If anything, rather than some students being bothered by the fact that many people stay home and watch these videos, they should be happy. Every student who do not show up is one less disruption to the class, one less person they have to compete with for one on one access to the professor, and if the ones who stay home do more poorly than them, well, that just means they benefit thanks to the bell curve!

Also, why is forcing students to go to class considered a "good thing" anyhow, because it's traditionally the way things have worked? YouTube is a WAY better delivery medium for educational material, if you offered a few of these online and then offered a bunch of premium content for paying customers you could make WAY more money, because there is a huge demand for economics teachering by people who don't put everyone to sleep.

When was this posted? you absolutely CAN play YouTube on a 64-bit OS, and even if flash didn't work, there's the HTML5 player it can fail over to.

Dr. Mark Thoma, by posting your lectures here you for sure have left something that people would say Mark Thoma was here!!!

mark thoma's the man! everyone in econ 420 (320 now) should definitely watch this clip before the final. sure, this is 421/521 but in one lecture mark covers a ton in a super concise fashion. perfect!!

I always hated econometrics because my instructor was like a book. He just wrote formulas on board and I lost my connection after 2 weeks. What is t what is F, R^2, I had no idea.
Your videos are good for 2 reasons:
- You give intuiton before a subject
- We can go back and listen to what you said many times
- Freeze the screen and write it
but there is a guy always asking questions just before you finish a concept. It stays half and you go back. its good to ask question but his timings are bad
The student who left around 23 mins disrupted the lecture for 6000 students!

I go to a "great school" here in London and have a famous professor for financial statistics. Plainly, he sucks compared to you! Thank you very much!
