not the case if the system itself scratches the disks.

The best way to to keep from scratching your CD's and DVD's is not to mishandle them and keep it in it's protective case at all times during storage.
Then this process will be unnecessary.

@liveforringette only if you scratch th back the metallic side is just plastic all the data is under the cover art

id did this before ages ago using moisteriser and it worked loldid it on an old dvd
