"Jeepers Richard that was terrific!" I saw a Mel Brooks special, years ago, where they were honoring Mel on his birthday and his wife, Anne Bancroft, said there wasn't a bigger ham in Hollywood and no one enjoyed listening to Mel sing more than Mel himself! This is one of my all-time favorite scenes! Thanks for posting!
@biggydoggsjj well, duh! Of course he's lip syncing- that's what they do in movies! It's how you "sync" up the sound with the edited shots- otherwise they would have to shoot the whole scene in one take. :)
i love the song. but he lip syncs it! at 8:06 its REALY obvious. but this is still better then ANY movie out in todays society. this is probably my 2nd fave movie. History of the World:Part 1 is my fave of all time!
My father-in-law was business partners with Mel Brooks's brother.

One of Mel's best films! Everything he writes is so nutty!

Worth learning the song, begins at 5:56 minutes . . . it's my song (LOL). Stay away from Paxil and Xanax.

@biggydoggsjj Yeah, they have to lip sync for scenes. But he is actually singing on the recording, so it's all good.
