This is your brain on drugs!(Remember that commercial?) This is a real life example! Yes, that is the guy in this video! Scary isn't it?! Thank God he cleaned his act up and is still kicking ass 16 years later! The "bushy haired violinist" left the band came back for 9 years and left the band again in 2006!He was looking a little worn out at the end and I hope he's getting a well deserved rest! We all miss him very much! Hope all is well Robbie!!!

Wow...Kansas has always been a favorite of mine. I even got to see them 5th row in the 80's but seeing him in this state made my stomach turn. I am an ex addict myself which is why. I hope he cleaned up his act...more for himself than anything. They rocked it when I saw them.

I took your advice and looked up some of the videos from "There's no place like home". Absolutely amazing. I will be purchasing that dvd tomorrow. I formaly eat all my words. Steve has got it all back. The look the energy and most imprtantly, the voice. My hat goes off to him. That is not an easy thing to do. Respect level just shot way way up. Thats my Kansas :)

I sure read a lot of comments about about how over the hill these guys are.
I really don't hear it.
For a live performance this is not too bad at all, and I remember them when they were one of the top acts in the country, if not the world. Admittedly, Steve looks a bit bazaar at times and his voice is strained at a point or two, but all in all I'd say good job guys. I've seen many a group at the very top of their game that couldn't do it live nearly this well.

i agree the jacket sucks , but the jacket is not the one performing . one of my all time favorite bands and will always be

amazing song ...altogether they play great...anyone whos seen them live, when they trade off instruments will agree.....great musicians, although i will agree that the dope problem hurt steve......he doesn't even look the same anymore.

think if anyone would ahve worn out it would ahve been Phil Ehart Yert the glue to Kansas has and always will be Phil and Rich Williams; The 'eyepatch' guy: Kerry Livgrens guitar brother, You can critique but in 2011 they still reproduce music no other band created.

Probably my favorite song Kansas every did that had alot of meaning to me. Would like to see the singer just sing the song. I know live is live but the vocals are such a key ingredient in this song that it has to coincide with the music and back up vocals for it to really breathe. Love his energy though.

Even as bad as they look in this video and not sounding like they usually do, they still blow away a lot of bands very talented group of guys . Still playing today and sound awsome!!

Kansas is my all-time favorite band, but I wish this had never been released...thank God Steve cleaned up his act, but this is pretty bad!
the "Steve's on Dope" thing is getting pretty old. Steve will be the 1st to tell you he was not healthy during this time... this was 1992 and it's amazing what 13-14 years of sobriety have done for this man. He is very humbled and gives 110% now days. He sounds great for almost 60 years old. Check out the 2009 live recording from Topeka Kansas, "There's Know Place Like Home"

There comes a time in a bands life when they must hang it up. Sadly it is time. Kansas has and always will be my favorite band. When you see them like this it just breaks your heart. Goodbye Kansas
