Since posting my last comment I have recently recieved a letter from the dept of defense saying that I am a West Point candidate and this is a pledge to myself and to all of us in this nation that car about the consitution that if I do persue a military career via West Point I will fight like hell to get rid of the Don't Ask Don't Tell "deal"

I saw this film at a Gay And Lesbian film festival this past weekend and it was very good, a few of the people in the documentary were in attendance and answered questions, but what really bothers me is this---the military uses brainwashing techniques to get soldiers to obey and to stop thinking of themselves as individuals, that sounds really sick to me.

I had the honor of talking with many members of the Call to Duty group and the very talented Johnny Symons on my podcast Ramble Redhead. I am so excited about this movie and can't wait to see it!

This looks like a good movie. I totally agree that anyone should serve in the military. They shouldn't treat gays and lesbians like they're monsters or they have a disease. They're like everyone else and they're true Americans for wanting to serve their country.

I never understood why you can't tell a military recruiter your are gay and still be turned away. I believe that the military deserves to know who you are and what you believe but not neccessarily everyone in it. They say it is to protect gays, we wouldn't be enlisting in that career if we wanted protection. They say it will break morale, we enlist to give morale to the country by standing strong and saying "we protect you and our way of life"

The arguments used by people who discriminate against gays in the military are the exact same excuses used to try and stop women from joining and blacks from mixing with whites. Its pathetic and considering 24 of the 26 NATO nations allow gays to openly serve with out problem, clearly there are no true reasons.
Only Turkey (99% Muslim) and the USA ban and discriminate against gays.. its very sad but one day americas leaders will see sense.
