i remember driving (when we were 12 we grew up in Southampton n everyone had money so we'd buy bugs or old cars n drive in trails or on beach) n when this song came out i was driving 100 mph with lights off with 5 ppl in the car wasted down a dirt trail ...best piece of art ever made the tree..

Bono's vocal is outstanding here........his voice isn't as strong as this now which I guess is inevitable but wow what a performer he is always to the audience!!

A strange version for me, it seems a little lacklustre from the band except for bono who is giving it loads. I have to say that the rattle and hum version is exceptional.
