Bodum's cold coffee maker is put to the test by the Seattle Coffee Gear team. Somewhere in between a math debate, Gail and Kat pause to reflect on whether or not Bodum's product can faithfully deliver the rich flavor of those delicious coffee beans.

  • I just got this a few weeks ago for cold brew. Great stuff, and I prefer it over the Toddy and Filtron, from design to practicality. Cleanup is easy and you don't have to continuously buy paper filters.

  • @infamousmonster Yeah, it's definitely easy to clean. I like it that it has the sealing lid, too, in case you have something nefarious in your fridge...won't affect your coffee's flavor ;) - Kat

  • If I had to wait 24 hours for a coffee... I'd probably end up banging on the fridge like the crack addict in Futurama episode "My Three Suns" banging on the crack vending machine :-)

  • @YoungJim409 Haha -- trust us, when this system is in progress, we're definitely using other devices to get our coffee fix ;) -Rob (Kat's personal YouTube assistant while she's on vacation)

  • @garbon2535 I'd go with the Hario or the Sowden myself because they allow for a finer grind and therefore less coffee usage - Kat

  • @SeattleCoffeeGear 2/2 Then last week the main road around the country was cut when the river took down a bridge at the high season for the travel industry.

    And then now after so cold June we have so hot July in south part that the fields burn and lot of troubles for the farmers.

  • @SeattleCoffeeGear 1/2 I top it. We here in Iceland have had in the East part to take the sheeps inside two times in May and June because of snow and we had the coldest June for over 60 years. Last night the temperature was around 39°F in the North part and farmers are in some parts only getting 1/4th of the grass from the fields or they had to wait for first cutting until month later than usual.
