my great grand mother was full cherokee ftom west va well where she lived from what ive heard but she died long b4 i was born but very interesting none the less and this is very refreshing and informative to know i also have several other native american from what ive been told btw im 27 so im on the young side but love learning about my ansesters

@ofisof I cannot speak to your experiences, but I do know that many political and government leaders will do what they want in their own best interests and use religion as a way to justify it when, in fact, in may be contrary to that religion.

"attrocity" isn't limited by geography or ancestory.While it's tragic that this culture is being lost. I don't think it's right to blame just Europeans or Christians.. You can blame Europeans or as a European you can be self loathing, but it wasn't just Europeans. Tribes fought one another for land and resources and were quite brutal and homicidal towards one another. Where is the outcry about that ? Where is the outrage ? But I love the people and language.

When I speak Cherokee. I have mostly old words that I hear from elders. If you spend time with a Cherokee elder you will learn alot.

@346gerard no my brother don't be asamed to be a whiteman, i'm a native from the southwest, yes the past is sad; but i went across the sea and seen your white people have eders that speak native tounges! They are good people, it's only the greedy people in every race that gives us a bad name my brother, the natives are sold out, the blacks are i mean look at obama. all races are equal in the end the great spirit will have the last say bro so hold your head up in a sacred manner.
